In this popular camp students will create a Fortnite-style Battle Royale game in Roblox! Students will learn both the basics of 3D game development and fundamental programming concepts using the Lua programming language. This camp is designed for beginner to intermediate students who are interested in both programming and game development.

In this popular camp students will design and code an awesome Advanced Obby and Tycoon game in Roblox, and then learn how to monetize them to make Robux on the Roblox marketplace! Students will learn both the basics of 3D game development and fundamental programming concepts using the Lua programming language. This camp is designed for beginner to intermediate students who are interested in programming, game design, and entrepreneurship.

Roblox Game Development: Obbies and Adventure Maps

In this beginner Roblox coding course, students learn the basics of the Roblox Studio editor and use real Lua programming to make a professional quality Obstacle Course or "Obby" game. Students master variables, functions and events.Then they will learn to build their very own Adventure Map. We cover key concepts such as conditionals and variables.

CodaBot: Build And Code Custom Robots

We teach student how to program real robots using the powerful Arduino programming language. Program the controls, sensors, movement, and behavior, and set out on fun and exciting missions including sumo fights, soccer, obstacle course missions, and more. Technology and robotics are becoming more and more pervasive in our society, and programs have been designed to teach students real 21st century skills. No prior experience necessary and all skill levels are welcome. 

DRONES: BUILD, CODE, FLY & RACE : 

Children will be learning to build, code, fly and race drones. crash and rebuild mini drones out of Lego pieces and by 3D printing pieces. An experience that’s not only fun,hands on but also highly flexible; no matter their level of expertise. They will learn to
modify and create their own design using the 3D printer besides learning all the functions of the electronic components that make the drone fly.Students practice their drone flying skills in a virtual environment before they are ready to execute the commands on a real drone. The curriculum includes 10 scaffold lessons and introduces kids to safe and fun drone-flying as well as relevant programming concepts as they complete fun missions such as: 
*Program a drone’s flight path from takeoff to landing * Build a drone controller to control a drone in real time *Program flips, turns and other stunts * Integrate loops and variables to make geometric patterns * Code games such as Flappy Drone and drone racing. There’s nothing like the thrill of seeing what you made, take to the skies.

This activity integrates life science with robotics, while incorporating crucial 21st century technical skills like data science; software, mechanical and electrical engineering, for an authentic learning experience. Emphasis is placed on the importance of combining science and technology to reflect the mechanics of the human body.

BUILD A 3D PRINTER

This Camp is designed for a total 3D printing experience! We'll help the campers learn how to  build a  3D printer and teach them how to use it. 

Through this program they will learn:

  • How a 3D printer works

  • What parts are required to build a printer

  • Safety tips for running the printer

  • How to calibrate the printer

  • How to prepare a file for printing

  • Where to find great content for printing

  • Learn 3D Modelling software to create and print their own models

MODDING ESSENTIALS WITH MINECRAFT:

Mod Design teaches students how to build their own Mods in Minecraft.It is a great way to learn deep computer science concepts like if-statements, loops, Data types, Boolean logic, object-oriented programming, event-driven programming and more. In this camp, younger students will learn how to use Java to make custom mods such as an amazing axe that shoots fireballs and an awesome repulsion shield that throws enemies into the air.

MODDING WITH MINECRAFT: ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND MOB PROGRAMMING:

In this creative camp, students will create their own custom mobs (Minecraft character models) and then use artificial intelligence programming to teach the mobs how to react in interesting situations.In this fiery course, students will customize the AI of their creature (from Create A Creature) to create a fearsome fireball attack. Students will learn about Artificial Intelligence and randomization.

MODDING FUNDAMENTALS WITH MINECRAFT - ULTRA CORE:

In Minecraft Modding Fundamentals - Ultra Core Camp, students will plan, design, and program a series of exciting Minecraft mods using the Java programming language. Our cutting edge curricula teaches core Java coding concepts such as methods, variables, parameters, loops, inheritance and more, and students will use Eclipse, a professional grade computer programming environment. Kids will make their own custom tools, blocks, ores, biomes, mobs, and more in this flagship camp.

SCRATCH ADVENTURES :
If you think playing computer games is fun, think what a blast learning to program your own games will be. Your imagination is the limit as you use Scratch software to create maze, strategy, and a variety of other types of games. In this camp for younger learners, students will create several exciting games using recently released Scratch 3.0 and its groundbreaking visual block interface.

GAME PROGRAMMING WITH JAVASCRIPT :

BEGINNERS:

In this beginner level JavaScript programming course, kids build a 2D Infinite Runner style game from the ground up! We cover key concepts such as conditionals, loops, variables, and more!

INTERMEDIATE: 

In this Intermediate level Javascript coding course, kids will build an exciting retro Tower Defense game from the ground up. We cover key concepts such as conditionals, loops, collision detection, enemy pathing, vectors, and more.

GAME PROGRAMMING WITH PYTHON:

Designed for students with prior coding experience, this camp will teach students to make a fun action game where they must defeat waves of enemies. The game is made using Python and students will cover concepts such as Object Orientated Programming, Artificial Intelligence, and More.

BEGINNERS:

In this beginner level Python Programming course, students will create a fun 2D game from the ground up. Players start with a fish that must eat smaller fish to grow bigger while avoiding larger fish to stay alive! Students will learn functions, loops, collision detection, game logic and more!

INTERMEDIATE:

In this Intermediate level Python Programming course, students will create a fun 2D Attack of the Robots style game from the ground up. Players will build the entire game from a blank screen using Python code. Students will learn functions, loops, collision detection, game logic and more!

ADVANCED:

In this Python Programming course, students will create the lobby for a 2D multiplayer game. Players will bE able to join the lobby from their own computers using a Wi-Fi connection. Students will learn server-client interaction, conditional logic, advanced data structures, and more!

Then students will build onto their Get Connected! project to create a multiplayer 2D fighting game. Players will be able to choose their fighter and duke it out on a custom-made stage until one fighter is left standing. Students will learn advanced collision handling, game physics, animations, inheritance, and more!

Students design and PRINT their own creation! Over the course of the classes,they are introduced to the development process as they conceptualize, design, and print. They will learn to combine shapes in the computer to design their own toys. Once developed, we’ll print them with a 3D Printer capable of converting a digital file into a tangible object. Our classes are designed for the next generation of creators; boys and girls, who like to play, imagine, draw and share.
